Adele Louisa Jurgens was born on the 26th of November 1917, in Brooklyn New York. As the youngest child of Norwegian working class parents, Adele Louisa Jurgens began as a teenager and athlete before she made the decision to dance. At 18, she was stunningly beautiful, studied at an Manhattan studio for many years before securing a scholarship. After completing Grover Cleveland High School in New York, she joined the Broadway chorus (billed with her actual name of Adele Jurgens) of Moss Hart/Cole Porter's musical Jubilee! ", which introduced the iconic Porter songs "Begin The Beguine" and "Just One of Those Things" and also starred Melville Cooper and Mary Boland as the King and Queen and young Montgomery Clift as Prince Peter. Glenn Langan died of cancer in the year 1991. Their sole child, a woman of 48 years old Tracy who was film tech, passed away in 2001 from a brain tumor that devastated the actress.
